Hypocritical persons call steroid users “cheaters”

Reporters frequently write articles about those that have unnaturally enhanced muscles and endurance. Reading their statements, you can notice that those that use anabolic steroids and/or other related medicines are harshly blamed. Such individuals are criticized in the society. They are called “cheaters”. It is said that those that take anabolic steroids for performance-enhancing effects may become addicted to these preparations. Many articles also contain information about probable side reactions of steroids. Although some side reactions occur in consumers of steroids, others are not proven scientifically. For example, it is widely reported about violence and murders committed by consumers of steroids. It is claimed that steroids may cause uncontrolled behavior which results in crimes. However, so called “roid rage” linked with these medicines is considered to be a controversial issue.
A lot of persons say that intake of anabolic steroids for obtaining of muscle mass and strength, hardening of muscles and fat loss is a moral issue. Let analyze! Is this affirmation free from hypocrisy? Why are only anabolic steroids blamed? Do just these drugs make the society unnatural? Let analyze other aspects of the society! What do you think about sex stimulants? It is said that you should not suffer from sexual disorders, when there are suitable medications to get rid of such problems. Furthermore, what do you think about products for anti-aging purposes? Why should you have evident wrinkles, if there are ways to hide your age? Models and actors take several medicines but they are not named “cheaters”. Students use some drugs for enhancement of their cognitive abilities. They are not blamed too. Several specialists that have conducted several studies affirm that those that take steroids for increase of physical abilities are more harshly blamed than those that take several products to enhance cognitive capacities. Is it fair?
As you see, our society is full of hypocrisy, ignorance and unfair accusations. May you blame steroid users in this society? May you state that application of steroids for enhancement of physical performance is a moral issue? Be real! If you begin to demonize consumers of steroids, don’t forget about other aspects of life!
