Roger Clemens was finally acquitted


Names of 12 persons (four men and eight women) that served as jury at the case against Roger Clemens were released by the judge Reggie Walton.
The government desired the jury to be convinced that Roger Clemens had lied before the Congress about administration of steroids and HGH. But since the jury acquitted Roger Clemens, the government criticized the individuals that composed the jury. Some individuals that served as the jury were interviewed.
A political activist, an art historian, a teacher of deaf children, an official of Treasury Department and an employee of the Canadian Embassy were belonged to the jury.
Joyce Robinson-Paul, a political activist, was interviewed by the New York Daily News several days after Roger Clemens was cleared of the charges. She affirmed that the jurors understood that they had to be fair to both the federal prosecutors and the sportsman. But they didn’t find anything that had to be pursued.  Later she also affirmed that the  federal prosecutors were not able to prove their affirmations.
Bradford Weaver, an employee of the Canadian Embassy claimed that the government acted wrongly. He noticed that such cases should not be repeated. This person also noticed that there was nothing to be pursued. He was interviewed by the Associated Press. Bradford Weaver also claimed that each juror comprehended from the very beginning that Roger Clemens was not guilty of any charge. Weaver reminded that every juror was unanimous.
The employee of the Canadian Embassy was also asked whether he considered that Roger Clemens really took steroids. Journalists of the Associated Press also asked him whether he considered that the governmental case against the baseball player represented only the waste of taxpayers’ funds. But Bradford Weaver didn’t answer the questions.
Another juror that chose not to be identified confirmed that the jurors didn’t comprehend how the government made the decision to waste huge sums of money during 5 years in order to prosecute the baseball player. This person confirmed that it was impossible to understand why the prosecution took place five years.
Other jurors didn’t present any information.
As for feds, they were totally disappointed. They refused to respond to the affirmations presented by the jurors.
