Thousands drug manufacturers are involved in illegal activities

Thousands drug manufacturers violate laws. But only some of them are sanctioned properly. A lot of drug manufacturers avoid serious penalties successfully. But just when serious scandals are caused by illegal actions of compounding pharmacies, they are sentenced to appropriate punishments. For example, anyone is aware of the meningitis outbreak that has spread across the country because of contaminated steroids manufactured by a Massachusetts compounding center. Of course, owners and officials of the company will be punished properly. But when illicit actions of compounding pharmacies don’t result in such serious troubles, they continue with their business successfully.
The media reports about illicit actions related to anabolic steroids, painkillers and other prescription drugs daily. But you may see that compounding pharmacies get only insignificant sentencing for illicit distribution of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. Thus, athletes and bodybuilders have free access to doping products. They get anabolic-androgenic steroids and other related medicines from compounding pharmacies and apply them for athletic purposes. Furthermore, some pharmacies provide fake prescriptions for anabolic-androgenic steroids. Corrupt physicians supply customers of pharmacies with prescriptions which are given without proper examination of customers’ individual conditions.
Drug manufacturers are responsible not only for illegal sale of anabolic-androgenic steroids. Several compounding pharmacies produce drugs in unsterile conditions. As a result, thousands persons get contaminated medicines and suffer from grave complications, using  these medicines. Certain persons even die from contamination resulted from usage of tainted medications. As you are possibly informed, 39 individuals died because of fungal meningitis resulted from tainted methylprednisolone acetate injections.
The recent contamination with fungal meningitis should influence on decisions of appropriate authorities. Criminal penalties should take place. Otherwise, health of many persons is in a serious danger. Prescription drugs must be sold only under real prescriptions. All preparations must be manufactured in sterile conditions. If drug manufacturers don’t obey all laws, they must be punished. They must not be allowed to continue with business, if they violate laws. Loss of licenses should be accompanied by other serious sanctions.
